ADDICTION TO PORNOGRAPHY

pornPornography is a secret monster ravaging the Christian home today. Pornography is affecting the lives of pastors, men, young men as well as women nowadays. Pornography robs intimacy with God and others; the guilt, shame, isolation associated with this addiction may fuel bouts of depression and anxiety. The sad part is this secret bondage is shameful to talk about, so many people keep it to themselves and suffer alone in shame and in pain.

Please do not suffer alone, Jesus did not come to condemn you but to set you free from all bondages and to give you freedom from captivity (Isaiah 61). There is power in the blood of Jesus to set you free and keep you free.

It is evident from the following statistics that this is a major epidemic among Christians.
Addiction to pornography is a problem that many people face. More than half (64%) of men in the U.S watch pornography at least once a month.

About a third (67%) of men between the ages of 31 and 49 watch pornography every month
About (79%) of young adult men between the ages of 18 and 30 watch pornography every month.
The number of Christian men who view pornography is comparable to the national average.
Addiction to pornography has a negative impact on the individual, family and community.
